Pursuant to ORS 279C.335, the Springfield Utility Board will hold a public hearing to consider a request for exemption from the competitive bidding process for a public improvements contract on Wednesday, November 13. The Board is expected to take action on this exemption, which, if approved, will authorize SUB to use an alternative contracting method through a Request for Proposal (RFP) to secure a Construction Manager/General Contractor (CM/GC) contract for the McKenzie River Water Supply Project.

The Springfield Utility Board plans to hold a PUBLIC HEARING on a proposed modification to dark fiber rates schedules, with a proposed effective date as of July 1, 2022. The proposed modification is a discount for fiber used by Springfield Utility Board, Springfield Public Schools, Willamalane Parks and Recreation District, and the City of Springfield (collectively known as Team Springfield).
