The Springfield Utility Board plans to meet in a non-public executive session 5:00-5:15 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, 2024, pursuant to ORS 40.225 and ORS 192.660(2)(i): attorney-client privilege; and to finalize the employment-related performance of the General Manager.
The Board will also hold a special work session on May 8, at approximately 5:15 p.m., immediately following the conclusion of the 5:00 p.m. executive session. This special work session is for the purpose of further discussion on a letter to the City. Please note that the Board does not hear public comment during work sessions.
Immediately following the conclusion of the 6:00 p.m. regular board meeting, the Springfield Utility Board has scheduled a non-public executive session on May 8, and is to commence at approximately 7:30 p.m., if needed. This executive session will be held pursuant to ORS 40.225, ORS 192.660(2)(e), and ORS 192.660(2)(f): attorney-client privilege; to conduct deliberations with persons designated by the governing body to negotiate real property transactions; and to consider information or records that are exempt by law from public inspection, including written advice from attorneys. If this meeting is not needed, the meeting may be canceled by the Board.
Members of the public are invited and encouraged to join the regular board meeting in-person or remotely via phone or internet. Those wishing to share input to the Board will be prompted during Business from the Audience portion of the meeting. An agenda will be available on the website under Board Meetings with instructions to join prior to the meeting. Public input may also be submitted in advance by using the email link provided on the agenda, by Noon May 8. The meetings will be held in SUB’s Board Room located in the Annex Building at 223 A Street in Springfield.
