Easy, affordable green power
Springfield Utility Board (SUB) is pleased to offer ECOchoice, a green power program that makes participating practical and easy.
When you sign up for ECOchoice, you are supporting power that comes from electrical generation projects using non-polluting, sustainable sources, such as wind, solar, geothermal, and biomass.
Along with being environmentally friendly, SUB’s program is affordable, flexible, and convenient:
- Affordable: The cost is just $1.10 per 100 kilowatt-hour in addition to your regular electricity charges — one of the very lowest green power rates around!
- Flexible: You can buy as much or as little green power as you like. And you can start or stop whenever you like – there are no long-term commitments.
- Convenient: Sign up by calling (541) 746-8451. Customers with online access to their SUB account may fill out an electronic form. The form is located on the ‘Manage Your Account’ page.
