Payment Assistance

The Customer Service Department may grant limited extensions to customers. However, extensions are not automatic. Please call our Customer Service Department at (541) 746-9852 before the due date on any notice to make mutually satisfactory payment arrangements.

How to Access Funds

SUB’s Project SHARE program helps customers with past due utility bills. Funds are currently available!

You can receive one-time annual assistance of up to $225 to apply toward the electricity portion of your bill.

To qualify, you must:

  • Be a SUB customer
  • Have a “past due” or “due upon receipt” bill
  • Fall within income guidelines

For information on whether you qualify, or to make an appointment, email our partner Catholic Community Services (CCS) or call them at (541) 345-3628. CCS helps SUB administer the program and will help with the application process.

How to Donate

Help low-income Springfield residents with heating emergencies by making a tax-deductible donation to Project SHARE. Both monthly pledges and one-time donations can be added to your bill. Monthly pledges can be for a recurring dollar amount or you may donate your change by authorizing SUB to round your bill up to the next even dollar amount. Any recurring pledge can be canceled at any time.
