The Springfield Utility Board plans to hold a special meeting on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, and is to commence at 5:00 p.m. This meeting is open to the public and the purpose of this meeting is to interview prospective appointees to SUB’s vacant Board Position No. 2.
The Board also plans to meet in a non-public executive session, if needed, on Wednesday, January 10, at approximately 7:30 p.m., immediately following the conclusion of the 6:00 p.m. regular board meeting. This executive session will be held pursuant to ORS 40.225, ORS 192.660(2)(e), and ORS 192.660(2)(f): attorney-client privilege; to conduct deliberations with persons designated by the governing body to negotiate real property transactions; and to consider information or records that are exempt by law from public inspection, including written advice from attorneys. If this meeting is not needed, the meeting may be canceled.
The meetings will be offered as hybrid meetings and will be held in SUB’s Board Room located in the Annex Building at 223 A Street in Springfield. Members of the public are invited to join the 5:00 p.m. special meeting and the 6:00 p.m. regular board meeting in-person or remotely via phone or internet. Instructions to join remotely will be posted on the agenda prior to the meeting on SUB’s website at www.subutil.com. Public comment to the Board on general utility issues is welcome and encouraged during the Business from the Audience portion of the 6:00 p.m. regular board meeting. The public may also submit comment in advance by Noon on January 10, by using the email link provided on the agenda.
