The Springfield Utility Board plans to meet in a special work session to allow updates on the McKenzie water treatment plant, review of media materials, grant funding status, and to gather information on Board interest of budget topics. This meeting is open to the public and is to commence at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 13, 2023. Please note that the Board does not hear public comments during work sessions.
The Springfield Utility Board will also meet in a non-public executive session on Wednesday, September 13, at approximately 7:30 p.m., immediately following the conclusion of the 6:00 p.m. regular board meeting. Public comments are invited and encouraged during the regular board meeting. The executive session will be held pursuant to ORS 40.225, ORS 192.660(2)(e), ORS 192.660(2)(f), and ORS 192.660(2)(h): attorney-client privilege; to conduct deliberations with persons designated by the governing body to negotiate real property transactions; to consider information or records that are exempt by law from public inspection, including written advice from attorneys; and to consult with counsel concerning legal rights and duties with regard to pending or potential litigation.
These meetings will be offered as hybrid meetings and will be held in SUB’s Board Room located in the Annex Building at 223 A Street in Springfield. Instructions to join the open session meetings remotely will be posted on the agenda prior to the meetings on SUB’s website at www.subutil.com.
