The Springfield Utility Board will hold a special meeting at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 24, 2022. The
purpose of this meeting is to hold a PUBLIC HEARING regarding proposed Resolution 22-3,
adopting findings in support of a staff request for Special Procurement for utilizing design-build
contracting for a control enclosure in Glenwood. The Board may also consider adopting proposed
Resolution 22-4, approving staff request for a contract specific special procurement for electric
transformers. There will also be time allowed for a presentation and discussion related to
telecommunications.
This will be a hybrid meeting and members of the public have the option to either, join remotely via
phone or internet or in-person in SUB’s Board Room located in the Annex Building at 223 A Street in
Springfield. An agenda will be available prior to the meeting that will include instructions to join
remotely on SUB’s website.
Resolution 22-3 and Resolution 22-4, requests for Special Procurements and Preliminary Findings
will be posted on SUB’s website under Press Releases and in the May 24, 2022 Special Meeting
Agenda Packet. These materials are accessible on the website.
Members of the public wishing to address the Board will be prompted to share general comments
related to utility business, including proposed Resolution 22-4, regarding electric transformers during
the Business from the Audience portion of the meeting. The public will also be prompted during the
public hearing to share input to the Board on proposed Resolution 22-3, regarding design-build
contracting for a control enclosure in Glenwood. Public comment may also be submitted to the Board
in advance to be entered into the record via email by Noon, May 24, by using the email link provided
on the agenda.
