Notice of Special Work Session and Executive Session

The Springfield Utility Board plans to meet in a special work session at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 14, 2024. The purpose of this session is to allow time for review of the Board’s self-evaluation for 2023. Members of the public are invited to join this special work session in-person or remotely, via phone or internet.  Please note that the Board does not hear public comments during work sessions.

The Board also plans to meet in a non-public executive session on Wednesday, February 14, at approximately 7:30 p.m., immediately following the conclusion of the 6:00 p.m. regular board meeting. This executive session will be held pursuant to ORS 40.225, ORS 192.660(2)(e), and ORS 192.660(2)(f): attorney-client privilege; to conduct deliberations with persons designated by the governing body to negotiate real property transactions; and to consider information or records that are exempt by law from public inspection, including written advice from attorneys.

The meetings will be offered as hybrid meetings and will be held in SUB’s Board Room located in the Annex Building at 223 A Street in Springfield. Members of the public are invited to join the 5:00 p.m. special work session and the 6:00 p.m. regular board meeting in-person or remotely via phone or internet. Instructions to join remotely will be posted on the agenda prior to the meeting on SUB’s website at www.subutil.com under Board Meetings. Public comment to the Board on general utility issues is welcome and encouraged during the Business from the Audience portion of the 6:00 p.m. regular board meeting. The public may also submit comment in advance by Noon on February 14, by using the email link provided on the agenda.
