Notice of Public Hearing on Proposal to Modify Dark Fiber Rates Schedules

The Springfield Utility Board plans to hold a PUBLIC HEARING on a proposed modification to dark fiber rates schedules, with a proposed effective date as of July 1, 2022. The proposed modification is a discount for fiber used by Springfield Utility Board, Springfield Public Schools, Willamalane Parks and Recreation District, and the City of Springfield (collectively known as Team Springfield). The public hearing will be held under Business from the Board during the Wednesday, June 8, 2022, regular Board meeting that is scheduled to commence at 6:00 p.m.

 

The Board is expected to take action to adopt Resolution 22-5, approving the modification to dark fiber rates schedules, following consideration of all comments made by members of the public during the public hearing. The public will be prompted to share general comments during Business from the Audience, and will also be prompted during the public hearing to share input to the Board on the proposed modification in dark fiber rates schedules.

 

Members of the public are invited to join the meeting remotely via phone or internet, or in-person in SUB's Board Room located in the Annex Building at 223 A Street in Springfield. The agenda is available on SUB’s website with detailed instructions to join remotely. Public comment may also be submitted to the Board in advance by Noon on June 8, to be entered into the record by using the email link provided on the agenda.
