July 9 Executive Sessions and Special Work Session
The Springfield Utility Board plans to meet in a non-public executive session on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. and may be extended to 5:30 p.m. if necessary. The Board also plans to hold a special work session from 5:00 to 5:30 p.m. (if time allowed) on July 9. The Board also plans to meet in a non-public executive session on July 9, at approximately 7:30 p.m., if needed, immediately following the conclusion of the 6:00 p.m. regular board meeting.
Notice of Request for Special Procurement during July 9 Regular Board Meeting
The Springfield Utility Board will consider a staff request for a special procurement on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, during the 6:00 p.m. regular board meeting. The special procurement is an exception to the normal requirements for competitive bidding. This special procurement is for the purpose of hiring an engineering firm for the design, bidding, and construction support services for the Willamette Heights storage tank. The Board may take action to adopt a resolution approving the request for special procurement.
July 2 RFP Task Force Meeting
Springfield Utility Board’s RFP (Request for Proposal) Task Force plans to hold a meeting on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at 3:30 p.m. The purpose of this meeting is to further develop and finalize criteria to issue an RFP for an executive search firm, as part of the general manager hiring process.
June 30 General Manager Recruitment Task Force Meeting
Springfield Utility Board’s GM Recruitment Task Force plans to hold a meeting on Monday, June 30, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. The purpose of this meeting is to allow time for further review of the general manager job description.
June 11 Special Work Session and Executive Session
The Springfield Utility Board plans to hold a special work session from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 11, 2025. The purpose of this session is to discuss general manager recruitment, and to provide a follow up on utility financials. The Board also plans to meet in a non-public executive session on June 11, at approximately 7:30 p.m., immediately following the conclusion of the 6:00 p.m. regular board meeting.

June 11 Public Hearing on Proposed Amendment to SUB Electric Construction Development Charge
The Springfield Utility Board plans to hold a public hearing on a proposed amendment to SUB Electric Construction Development Charge policies to provide for an adjustment of the advanced engineering fee to $800, with a proposed effective date of July 1, 2025. The public hearing will be held on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, during its 6:00 p.m. regular board meeting in SUB’s Board Room located in the Annex Building at 223 A Street in Springfield.
