The Springfield Utility Board plans to hold a special meeting to administer the Oath of Office to its new Board member Mark Molina, to prioritize 2021 Board Goals, discuss first steps to implementing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Strategies, and discuss Board Proposals – time permitting. This meeting will commence at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 13, 2021, prior to the 6:00 p.m. regular board meeting.

SUB’s Board of Directors plan to meet in executive session, if necessary, on Wednesday, January 13, pursuant to ORS 40.225, ORS 192.660(2)(e), ORS 192.660(2)(f), and ORS 192.660(2)(h); attorney-client privilege, to deliberate with persons designated to negotiate real property transactions, to consider information exempt from public inspection, and to consult with counsel regarding potential litigation. The executive session is a non-public meeting and will commence at approximately 7:30 p.m., after the conclusion of its 6:00 p.m. regular board meeting.

The Springfield Utility Board has also scheduled a special meeting to be held on Wednesday, January 13, and is planned to commence at approximately 8:00 p.m., after the conclusion of the 7:30 p.m. executive session. The purpose of this meeting is to allow any potential Board action, following executive session, if needed.

The public is invited to join the virtual special meetings and regular board meeting via phone or internet, by following instructions that will be available on the agenda, which will be posted on SUB’s website prior to the meetings. The public will be prompted for comment during the meetings. The public may also submit public comment in advance, to be entered into the record, via email to subboard@subutil.com by Noon on Wednesday, January 13.
