PROPOSAL TO AMEND PREVIOUSLY ADOPTED BOARD RESOLUTION 20-11 AND PROPOSED ADOPTION OF AMENDMENT TO WATER SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT CHARGES
Amending Chapter 5 – Water, of the Springfield Utility Board policies regarding Development/ Redevelopment Charges.
The Springfield Utility Board plans to hold a public hearing on Wednesday, March 10, 2021, during its 6:00 p.m. regular board meeting on a proposal to amend previously adopted Board Resolution 20-11, amending Chapter 5-Water, of the Springfield Utility Board policies regarding Development/Redevelopment charges, with an expected effective date of March 11, 2021.
The Board also plans to hold a public hearing on Wednesday, March 10, during its 6:00 p.m. regular board meeting on a proposed amendment to SUB Water Development/ Redevelopment Charge policies to provide for an adjustment in existing water development charges of 5.9 percent (5.9%), with a proposed effective date of October 1, 2021, in accordance with existing methodology. There is no change in the methodology.
The public is invited to join the public hearings during the regular board meeting, via phone or internet. Instructions to join will be available on the agenda posted to SUB’s website, prior to the virtual meeting. The public will be prompted for comment at the appropriate time during the meeting. The public may also submit public comment in advance, to be entered into the record, via email to email@example.com by Noon on March 10.
