10/21 Team Springfield Joint Elected Officials Meeting / NIMS Training

Team Springfield partners - The City of Springfield, Springfield Utility Board, Willamalane Park and Recreation District, and Springfield Public Schools plan to hold a Team Springfield Joint Elected Officials’ Meeting on Tuesday, October 21, 2025. The purpose of this meeting is to allow a G402 NIMS Orientation Training for Senior Officials. The meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. for dinner and networking, and the training program is to commence at 6:00 p.m.

October 8 Executive Sessions, Special Work Session, and Regular Board Meeting

The Springfield Utility Board plans to meet in a non-public executive session on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. pursuant to ORS 40.225, ORS 192.660(2)(f), and ORS 192.660(2)(h). The Board also plans to hold a special work session from 5:00 to 5:30 p.m. The Board will hold its regular board meeting at 6:00 p.m. The Board also plans to meet in a non-public executive session on October 8, at approximately 7:30 p.m., if needed, immediately following the conclusion of the 6:00 p.m. regular board meeting, pursuant to ORS 40.225, ORS 192.660(2)(f), and ORS 192.660(2)(h). If this meeting is not needed, it may be canceled.

Notice of 9/10 Executive Sessions

The Springfield Utility Board will meet in a non-public executive session on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. and also plans to meet at 7:30 p.m. in another non-public executive session, if needed. The executive sessions will both be held pursuant to ORS 40.225, ORS 192.660(2)(d), ORS 192.660(2)(e), ORS 192.660(2)(f), and ORS 192.660(2)(h). The meetings will be held in SUB’s Board Room located in the Annex Building at 223 A Street in Springfield.

Notice of 9/10 Public Hearing on Dark Fiber Rates Request

The Springfield Utility Board will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, during its 6:00 p.m. regular board meeting in SUB’s Board Room located in the Annex Building at 223 A Street in Springfield. The purpose of the hearing is to consider a request from Rainbow Water District regarding the application of SUB’s Dark Fiber Rate Schedule. Following the public hearing the Board is expected to consider adoption of Resolution 25-9.

Notice of Approval of Special Procurement for NESC Detailed Inspections of Utility Poles

The Springfield Utility Board approved a staff request for a Special Procurement at its regular Board meeting that was held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 13, 2025. This Special Procurement is for the purpose of entering into a contract, or series of contracts, with K&B Technical Solutions for National Electric Safety Code (NESC) Detailed Inspections of utility poles. Affected persons shall have seven (7) days from the date of this notice of approval to protest the Special Procurement.

Notice of Approval of Special Procurement for Upgraded Security System

The Springfield Utility Board approved a staff request for a Special Procurement at its regular Board meeting that was held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 13, 2025. This Special Procurement is for the purpose of entering into a series of contracts with Everon Security, LLC, for the purchase and installation of an upgraded encrypted card access system, along with associated security hardware and software, at all SUB Water Production Facilities and the Water Service Center. Affected persons shall have seven (7) days from the date of this notice of approval to protest the Special Procurement.
