Springfield Utility Board is aware of damage to utility infrastructure near the Thurston Trailhead (7575 McKenzie Highway). The damage, as seen in the accompanying photo, is a direct result of the high wind event that struck our area on December 16th & 17th.
The affected section of line is de-energized; community members do not need to report the damage moving forward.
Plans to repair the damaged infrastructure are underway. We ask that community members avoid the utility right-of-way and to stay away from the damaged poles.
