Along with City of Eugene (COE), City of Springfield (COS), Rainbow Water District (RWD), and Eugene Water & Electric Board (EWEB), SUB is transitioning from the Cities’ Multi-Jurisdictional Natural Hazard Mitigation Plan (MJNHMP) to join the Lane County Multi-Jurisdictional Natural Hazards Mitigation Plan (MJNHMP). This transition will strengthen the overall collaboration and efficiency of planning for natural hazards that may impact our communities and services. Natural Hazard Mitigation Plans outline community risk to natural hazards and potential actions that can reduce risks to people, the environment, property, and the local economy BEFORE the next hazard strikes.
A copy of SUB’s draft Lane County MJNHMP Annex is attached and a stakeholder comment period is open through March 28, 2025. Comments should be submitted to tracys@subutil.com.
