SUB seeks applicants for open position on Board of Directors

Are you passionate about the vital role public utilities play in our vibrant, growing community?

Springfield Utility Board (SUB) is seeking candidates to fill a vacancy on our Board of Directors, with a term expiring in 2026. To be eligible, interested individuals must be registered voters who have been City of Springfield residents since at least January, 2023. In addition, candidates must be prepared to seek election for the balance of the unexpired term in the November 2024 election.

The five-member elected Board is SUB’s governing body and sets policy for the utility. More information about duties and responsibilities can be found here.

To apply, submit a letter describing your interest and qualifications, and attach a resume that details your professional experience and education. Please note any leadership roles, special certificates and/or Board experience.
