Along with rain, the possibility of wind is in the forecast. With damaged trees throughout town, we want customers to be aware that wind could cause weakened trees and limbs to create new outages, even as we complete repairs from the ice storm. While we hope it does not develop, now is the time to prepare.
WHAT YOU CAN DO:
*Use the time now to replenish outage preparation kits that may have been used up during the powerful ice storm. Flash lights, radios and extra batteries, fuel for generators, and extra food and water are priorities.
*Check back up power for medical devices, which may have been depleted after the recent storm. Make sure you have necessary medications on hand.
*Check in on friends, family and neighbors who may need assistance with outage preparation.
