The Springfield Utility Board plans to hold a special session board meeting on Wednesday, March 25, 2020, at 4:00 p.m. via conference call. The purpose of this meeting is to allow the Board to consider a potential modification to delay the effective date of the previously approved increase to SUB’s electric utility rates. At the February 12 regular board meeting, the Board adopted Resolution 20-01, approving a 1.25 percent increase to SUB’s electric utility rates, effective April 1, 2020, for all billing statements rendered on or after May 1, 2020, and thereafter until further resolution of the Board.
The public is invited to join the special session via conference call and will be allowed the opportunity to address the Board prior to any action. The easiest way to join is by following these instructions:

- Please consider muting your phone to block out any background noise, (unless you are speaking to the Board during the time allowed)
The public will also have access to the special session board meeting via a speaker and telephone conference connection at SUB’s Board Room, located in the Annex Building at 223 A Street, Springfield. Six feet of social distancing will be required and equipment will be sanitized between each public speaker.
