Notice of July 12 Public Hearing on Proposed Changes to Water Construction Development Charges. Board may also consider Adopting an Ordinance and Resolutions Approving Water System Development Charges Methodology

The Springfield Utility Board hereby issues public notice that it will hold a public hearing on a proposed Resolution adopting a modification to SUB policy related to Water Development Charges (different from System Development Charges). This public hearing will be held on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, during its 6:00 p.m. regular board meeting in SUB’s Board Room located in the Annex Building at 223 A Street in Springfield, Oregon.

On Wednesday, June 14, 2023, the Springfield Utility Board held a public hearing on a proposal to adopt a Water System Development Charges (SDC) methodology, project list, and schedule of charges. The Board took no action at the June 14 meeting. It will now consider adopting an Ordinance, and Resolutions approving the proposed Water SDC methodology, project list, and schedule of charges at the July 12 regular board meeting. If adopted, the Water SDC schedule of charges will go into effect for all applicable permits applied for on or after October 1, 2023. This meeting will also be held in SUB’s Board Room located in the Annex Building at 223 A Street in Springfield.

Members of the public are invited to join the regular board meeting and public hearing in-person or remotely via phone or internet and will be prompted during the public hearing to share input to the Board. An agenda will be available on the website prior to the meeting, under Board Meetings, with instructions to join remotely. Public comment may also be submitted in advance by Noon on July 12, to be entered into the record by using the email link provided on the agenda.

Copies of the proposed Ordinance and supporting material, as well as copies of the proposed Resolutions and supporting material, will be available for public review prior to the meeting. They may be reviewed at SUB’s Main Office at 250 A Street in Springfield or by visiting SUB’s website at www.subutil.com.
