The Springfield Utility Board held its 6:00 p.m. December 10, 2025, regular board meeting and held its second set of public hearings on the proposed rates for 2026 and the proposed 2026 utility budget. The public was invited to attend in person or remotely. The meeting was held in SUB’s Board Room located in the Annex Building at 223 A Street, Suite F, in Springfield.
Following Board consideration of public testimony at the first public hearings on the proposed 2026 rates and budget during the November 12 regular board meeting, and public testimony at the second public hearings during the December 10 regular board meeting, the Board adopted resolutions to approve the 2026 rate increases and 2026 budget, as proposed. As a result, the Budget Committee meeting previously scheduled for December 15 is no longer needed and has been cancelled.
