The Springfield Utility Board plans to meet in a non-public executive session on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. The executive session will be held pursuant to ORS 40.225, ORS 192.660(2)(d), ORS 192.660(2)(e), ORS 192.660(2)(f), and ORS 192.660(2)(h): attorney-client privilege; to conduct deliberations with persons designated by the governing body to carry on labor negotiations, to conduct deliberations with persons designated by the governing body to negotiate real property transactions; to consider information or records that are exempt by law from public inspection, including written advice from attorneys; and to consult with counsel concerning legal rights and duties of a public body with regard to pending or potential litigation.
The Board also plans to meet in a non-public executive session on September 10, at approximately 7:30 p.m., if needed. This meeting will commence immediately following the conclusion of the 6:00 p.m. regular board meeting. The executive session will also be held pursuant to ORS 40.225, ORS 192.660(2)(d), ORS 192.660(2)(e), ORS 192.660(2)(f), and ORS 192.660(2)(h): attorney-client privilege; to conduct deliberations with persons designated by the governing body to carry on labor negotiations, to conduct deliberations with persons designated by the governing body to negotiate real property transactions; to consider information or records that are exempt by law from public inspection, including written advice from attorneys; and to consult with counsel concerning legal rights and duties of a public body with regard to pending or potential litigation. If this meeting is not necessary, the meeting may be canceled.
Members of the public are invited to join the 6:00 p.m. regular board meeting in-person or remotely via phone or internet. Instructions for remote access will be posted on the agenda prior to the meeting on SUB’s website at www.subutil.com under Board Meetings. Public comments may be submitted in advance by Noon on September 10, by using the email link provided on the agenda. The meetings will be held in SUB’s Board Room located in the Annex Building at 223 A Street in Springfield.
