The Springfield Utility Board plans to hold a special work session from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 14, 2025. The purpose of this session is to allow time to hold recruitment training for the Board, to review the general manager work plan through June 2026, and to provide an update on grant funding. Please note that the Board does not hear public comments during work sessions.
Please Note: The Board has canceled the previously noticed 5:00 p.m. non-public executive session for Wednesday, May 14.
The Board still plans to meet in a non-public executive session on May 14, at approximately 7:00 p.m., immediately following the conclusion of the 6:00 p.m. regular board meeting. The executive session will be held pursuant to ORS 40.225, ORS 192.660(2)(f), and ORS 192.660(2)(h): attorney-client privilege; to consider information or records that are exempt by law from public inspection, including written advice from attorneys; and to consult with counsel concerning legal rights and duties with regard to pending or potential litigation.
Members of the public are invited to join the 4:00 p.m. special work session and the 6:00 p.m. regular board meeting in-person or remotely via phone or internet. Instructions to join remotely will be posted on the agenda prior to the meeting on SUB’s website at www.subutil.com under Board Meetings. Public comment may be submitted in advance by Noon on May 14, to be entered into the record, during the regular board meeting, by using the email link provided on the agenda. The meetings will be held in SUB’s Board Room located in the Annex Building at 223 A Street in Springfield.
