Current electrical infrastructure: Glenwood Substation is under construction and within 2/3rd miles from Glenwood development areas. It is on track to serve load in 2026, and will include 1 transformer and 3 feeders. There is physical space to add more substation transformers and feeders.
Current water infrastructure: Glenwood Intertie is located east of the Willamette River bridge crossing and near the “Glenwood Riverfront” development area. This intertie connects to distribution and transmission water lines that serve the existing water demands in the area.
There is currently no infrastructure in the undeveloped areas of the Glenwood riverfront. For more information on riverfront development in Glenwood, one of the City of Springfield’s spotlight projects, please visit the City’s economic development page.
