SUB Bid #2023-24
Bids will be received by Rebecca Wheeler for the Springfield Utility Board Water Division, at 202 So. 18th St., Springfield, OR 97477 until 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 30 for the following:
“Pavement Restoration for 58th Street, Aster to A Streets” must be completed 30 calendar days from SUB and contractor’s agreed upon start date
All work will be night work. Working hours will be between 7 p.m. – 6 a.m.
Contractor will agree to pay $500 per calendar day, not as a penalty, but as liquidated damages in case of failure to meet contracted completion dates. Payment by the Contractor of liquidated damages does not release the Contractor from its obligation to fully and timely perform the contract according to its terms and conditions.
Working hours must fall within limits of permits. No extension of time will be granted for Saturday, Sunday, or holidays.

**If Contractor’s bid is over $100,000.00 and the submitted bid package does not include a bid bond, Contractor’s bid will be deemed non-responsive and rejected for consideration.**
In order to be accepted and considered for award of a contract, the submitted proposals must comply with Oregon Revised Statutes regulating contract work for public agencies.
Requirements of ORS are identified for the contractors convenience.
The selected Contractor must comply with ORS defining regular hours or work, overtime pay, prevailing wage, participation in worker's compensation plans, and filing of wage certificates with Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries. No bid will be received or considered by the public body or any office of the public body unless the bid contains a statement by the Bidder as part of the bid that the provisions required by ORS 279C.800 to 279C. 870 shall be included in the contract.
The selected Contractor shall comply with all federal, state and SUB safety rules and regulations. Material Safety Data Sheets shall be posted on site for any hazardous materials used in the performance of this contract.
Springfield Utility Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive minor irregularities not affecting substantial rights, and to accept such bids that in the opinion of the Board are in the best interest of Springfield Utility Board.
Acceptance of bids and award of contract will follow procedures provided by ORS 279C and be in accordance with applicable SUB policies.
