The best way to become involved in your utility is to attend SUB board meetings. These meetings are held at 6 p.m. on the second Wednesday of each month in SUB’s board room, located at SUB’s Annex across the street from SUB’s main office at 250 A Street in downtown Springfield. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend. You may download the agenda of the next meeting of the Springfield Utility Board by clicking the link below.
Temporary measures during the pandemic: In accordance with social distancing recommendations, public participation in regular SUB Board meetings and special sessions will be held via instructions noted on the meeting materials.
In addition, ratepayers can serve on Citizen Advisory Committees, where board members meet with ratepayers to hear their thoughts on specific utility issues. SUB will notify the public if a specific committee is being formed to discuss a utility issue.
