asleep at the wheel photoSUB is proud to bring back Western Swing giants Asleep At The Wheel with Ray Benson! Over their history, Asleep At The Wheel has garnered nine GRAMMY Awards and released more than 25 studio and live albums, and there is no sign of slowing down any time soon.

Opening will be the local award-winning reggae fusion band, Sol Seed, as well as Springfield's Oldies Rock house band, Mystery Train.

Kid Nation activities will include magic shows, live music, balloon twisting, giant slides, reptile exhibits, crafts and games, etc.

Gates open at 4 pm, music starts at 5 pm. Fireworks start at 10 pm.

Advance tickets will be $5 at SUB's main office or Jerry's Home Improvement Centers, beginning Monday, June 23rd, and $7 at the gate.

Children 5 and under get in free, as well as Springfield veterans and immediate families of active Springfield military (spouse and children, up to 4 tickets).

Limited handicapped parking will be available on a first-come basis by the B street entrance. 

Park and ride shuttles will be from the Booth-Kelly parking lot (200 block of South 5th Street) to the top of B Street every 15 minutes from 3:30 to 11:00 pm. Please note that there is no LTD bus service on the 4th of July.
