Ditch your street shoes, dig out your flip flops and head to Island Park this July 4th for Light of Liberty: Springfield’s best summertime party.
Now in its Seventh year, Light of Liberty is a fundraiser featuring music, food, family fun – and, of course, a fabulous fireworks show set to music and reflected over the scenic Willamette River.
The headline act will be "Secret Agent Man," Rock & Roll legend - Johnny Rivers!
Also performing on mainstage will be Skip Jones and the Spirit of New Orleans and Mystery Train
Kids will have plenty to do when they visit our Kid Nation. Check out crafts, face painting, a great snake exhibit, magic shows, gymnastics demonstrations, and more!
Tickets on sale beginning June 21st at SUB's Main office at 250 A Street and at Jerry's Home Improvement Center in Springfield and Eugene. Tickets are $5 in advance, $7 at the gate. Kids 5 and under are free.
As a thank you, tickets are free for all Springfield veterans and families of active Springfield military personnel (spouse and children, up to four tickets). ID required for free military tickets.
All proceeds benefit Project Share, a fund that helps low- and fixed-income Springfielders with wintertime heating emergencies. So come, have a great time, and know that your dollars are helping those in need!
Limited handicapped parking will be available near the B street entrance on a first-come basis. Additional parking will be on street; A parking shuttle will be available from the Booth-Kelly parking lot in the 200 block of South 5th Street to the event. The shuttle will start at 3:30 pm and go until 11:00 pm at 15 minute intervals.
